L'IROC V è stato il quinto anno della competizione IROC , che si è svolta in tre fine settimana nel 1977 e nel 1978. Ha visto l'uso della Chevrolet Camaro in tutte le gare, e il programma è stato interamente rimandato a IROC IV . Al Unser ha vinto due gare in rotta verso il campionato e $ 50.000.
